Prospective Students to Towson
Welcome to Towson and Towson Hillel. We are excited that you are considering attending Towson University. Towson University is a great place to be a Jewish student. Towson is situated in the Baltimore metro area, one of the strongest Jewish communities in the country. The Jewish community at Towson has both opportunities for personal exploration and growth and a a small community feel where it seems like a home away from home, much like the University itself.
As you are making your decision about coming to Towson, we hope to be as much of a help as possible. Here are a few ways that we hope we can help:
Spend Shabbat with us - No matter what your level of observance, Friday night dinner is a great way to meet other students in an informal setting and get to know the Towson community.
Meet with our staff and student leaders - If you are planning a day trip to Towson, we hope you will consider visiting us. Hillel is attached to the Newell Dining (featuring both kosher and nonkosher food) and is a great place to stop for lunch. Students and staff are often available to meet with walk-ins, but if you know ahead of time you are coming, please contact Ken Krivitzky at kkrivitzky@towson.edu to set up a formal time to visit. Other questions? - Please feel free to look at our Frequently Asked Questions page. If you have other questions, please feel free to contact Ken Krivitzky, the Hillel Director, at kkrivitzky@towson.edu.
