Religious Life and Shabbat

High Holidays

High Holidays are an important part of the celebration of Jewish life. At Towson, as a part of the academic policies, students are excused from classes on Jewish holidays with work restrictions. Towson will be holding some services on campus in addition to partnering with the other Hillels in Baltimore to provide Conservative services at Johns Hopkins University and Reform Services at Goucher College. In addition, this year Chabad will be hosting services on campus. Full service listings are available at towsonhh2009.pdf.

Shabbat

Shabbat is every Friday at 6pm during the school year unless otherwise noted.

Want to learn how to lead or follow services? Koach (the conservative movement) teaches how to lead many of the prayers. http://www.koach.org/kabbalatshabbat101rec.htm
