Why does Towson Hillel need your support?

Towson Hillel has an Annual Budget of over $350,000. While we are very lucky to recieve a large allocation from the Associated: Baltimore's Jewish Community Federation, we still need to raise $140,000 through grants and contributions.

We are beginning the year with $90,000 in grants already secured.

We need your help in raising another $50,000 this fiscal year ending June 30th, 2010!

What does the money go towards?
The money raised goes directly towards supporting services for students. This year, we have increased the size of our programming budget and continue to provide meaningful experiences to our students. Thanks to your help, Towson Hillel has been able to win "Hoke L. Smith Outstanding Student Organization fo the Year" and sent numerous students to Israel and on Alternative Breaks. With your support, we can continue to have a deep impact on campus.

How can I donate?

There are three ways that someone can donate to Towson Hillel. All gifts are completely tax deductible.
  • Checks are able to be sent made out to: Towson Hillel and mailed to our address.
  • Parents, alumni, faculty and staff that wish to get credit from Towson University for their gift are able to donate to the Towson University Foundation and designate the gift to Towson Hillel. The designation code is 14255.
  • You are able to donate online through our Pay Pal Account. Online donations are quick and easy and all proceeds go to Towson Hillel.

There are approximately 2,100 Jewish students currently enrolled at Towson University. Throughout their college years, Jewish students are confronted with seemingly limitless opportunities for personal growth and exploration. They grapple with choices that will shape their identity and define their future. Hillel is ideally positioned to make a positive difference.
